At the law office of Joseph F. Because I believe that the basis of an attorney-client relationship is trust, I will do everything in my power to earn and keep your trust. I emphasize client communication and contact, making myself available to you as much as possible and promptly returning all calls or e-mails.

Probate and Estate Administration

I provide skilled and knowledgeable counsel to executors, administrators and personal representatives, helping you meet the requirements of the probate court, so that you can successfully settle the estate of a loved one. I will work with you to prepare and file the legal documents necessary to probate and administer the decedant's estate, including preparing an inventory of assets, directing the payment of final debts and taxes and completing the transfer of the decedant's property in accordance with the deceased's wishes.  See my page on probate and estate administration for additional information.

Estate Planning ◊ Wills ◊ Special Needs Trusts

I work with individuals and families, helping to establish and put in place an effective plan for the distribution of assets and the care of their loved ones after their death. I will help you determine the most effective strategy for meeting your goals and will prepare and execute all the documents required to put your estate plan in place, including wills, trusts (general as well as special needs trusts), powers of attorney, healthcare directives and living wills. To learn more, see my page on estate planning.

Guardianships and Conservatorships

If you have a family member or loved one who cannot manage his or her own affairs, whether as a result of a disability or accident, or because of illness, I can help you take the steps necessary to appoint a guardian or conservator to protect your loved one's legal and financial interests. For more information, go to my page on guardianships and conservatorships.
